Hello, I’ll write my opinion in English because I’m Portuguese and I’m afraid my castellano is not very fluent.

I’ve been implementing projects in MS SPS and I’m fairly pleased about the results I’m getting. First it is not true that SPS is not reliable for big storage needs; we have implemented SPS databases with 4TB of content storage and uploaded documents with 200MB in less than 1min. Any way, if you need storage and you do not want to archive your content in SQL Server in can always use Meridium to integrate with SPS, and Meridium supports up to PB. Also if you need a BPM solution to complement SPS you have several different proposals from Ascentn AgilePoint to K2.net.

SPS will be classified as SES (Smart Enterprise Solution) in Office12, which means that you have in a single platform a Portal, an ECM solution, and most of all a collaboration suite. And then, the development is all done in .Net and there are almost no limits to what you can do.

Best Regards,

Carlos
