Piperline Manager

The purpose statement of the Pipeline Manager is lock (forecast, soft, hard) factory capacity match demand, in line with strategic priorities and defined guidelines. Identify gaps in the supply/demand balance and recommend ways in which these can be addressed.
Main responsabilities:
- Manage factory design and development pipeline communicating plans with other Solution Delivery units:
- Scheduling of the demand into the Design Centre as defined by Global and Regional systems 'Release Plans'
- Balances demand and supply pipeline for the factory
- Responsible for communicating impact of forecasted demand on factory and aligning appropriate priority of demand
- Responsible for integration Demand IT and business view of prioritisation of projects onto the release schedule by business value and importance to the company.
- Capacity planning with the head of solution development
- Inputs into Release Integration board forum
- Logs, evaluates, and prioritizes requests for the operational domain/functional team.
- Determines and manages appropriate data points (including plans and estimates) to improve demand planning process
- Supports reviews and approvals of estimates prior to presentation to the customer.
- Performs sizing and work type classifications, approximates estimates, and commits those estimates with input from the appropriate delivery/capability team(s).
- Pursues a detailed analysis of the variance causes to facilitate learning and control improvement.
- Provides insight (based on analysis) into environmental factors that affect demand/capacity flexibility and control.
- Monitors and reports the capacity allocated to different types of demands over time including committed capacity (hard lock), required capacity (soft lock) and potential capacity (forecast)
- Compares capacity allocation to contractual, negotiated, and budgetary constraints.
- Works to control and plan the work flow.
- Tracks and monitors ongoing priorities in a given capability area, for both the development of new capabilities and to enhance existing capabilities and total budgets allocated for maintenance.
- Takes responsibility for delivering the estimates for the design, build and test effort required of the factory. This can range from initial sizing estimates (order of magnitude) to detailed commitment estimates (top down) and is dependent on support from factory solution designers.
Also:
- Monitors capacity utilization, makes decisions, and implements those decisions to balance supply and demand at the gross level.
- Provides a single point of contact for all demand requests and capacity utilization.
- Conducts planning sessions with the client to identify a demand profile to develop the capacity plan.
- Ensures all work activities and requests have the appropriate approval and sponsorship in order to commit capacity.
- Facilitates demand process inputs from the unit and the customers, users, and third party service providers.

- Significant years experience in solution delivery fot IT enviroments.
- Proven experience in Pipeline / Demand management.
- Proven experience in the use of delivery methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Understanding of enterprise applications and architecture with experience in IT delivery.
- Experience in setting up enterprise solutions.
- Strong understanding in the production and delivery of operating models.
- Proven management and Leadership experience.
- Stakeholder and expectation management.
