Adecco IT on behalf of Microsoft Iberica ir recruiting a Developer Support Specialist to join the Microsoft Global Technical Support Center (GTSC) in the Developer Support Internet Unit. The Unit mission is to solve customer’s problems in the quickest way possible by putting them at the centre of everything we do. The position does not have the responsibility for managing/supervising people.

The ideal candidate will be required to have an adequate practical background (2-5 years) on the following technologies:

• Good Windows Operating System background on native Threads, Processes and Memory Management (Heap, Stack, Virtual Memory).
• Good knowledge about Internet Information Server infrastructural aspects related to architecture, configuration and administration
• Good knowledge about Internet Information Server extensibility related to web application development based on classic ASP, ASP.NET and ISAPI.

• Strong managed code programming and debugging skills in C# or VB.Net.
• Profound understanding of the ASP.NET pipeline and HttpWebRequest namespace.
• Good knowledge of conceptual semantics of Visual Studio .NET based web project or Website model.
• Experience with build and compilation semantics of the .NET Framework (application domains, assemblies, JIT compilation, Managed Memory Management, Garbage Collector)
• Strong DHTML coding knowledge

A Microsoft certification (MCSE or MCSD) is a plus like any other experience related to client and/or server side web development.
Fluid verbal and written communication skills in English in an international environment are required.
The candidate will communicate with customers, internal engineers and appropriate MS subsidiary staff via electronic correspondence or telephone. Will solve complex level of problems, involving broad, in-depth product knowledge or in-depth product specialty redirected by the Global Technical Support Center or escalated by EMEA subsidiary sites.

Provide solutions that satisfy customers which will involve handling difficult situations.
Take an active role in challenging and suggesting enhancements on existing processes and workflows. Develop own technical knowledge on products/technologies related to the team scope. Write and review technical articles or sample programs in order to distribute technical information to all customers, internal engineering and subsidiary staff.
