The FBI has awarded Accenture Federal Services (AFS) a seven-year blanket purchase agreement (BPA) with a $100 million ceiling for the provision of application services and the continued introduction of digital solutions to further enhance the bureau’s human resources (HR) systems capabilities.

This award is a continuation of AFS’s technology and management consulting partnership with the FBI. As part of services under the new BPA, AFS will continue to help the bureau modernize its HR IT capabilities, enabling the bureau to gain greater insight and increase efficiencies to reduce administrative burdens for FBI employees across the country.

“The FBI requires a workforce that is as diverse as the population it serves, with the skills and experience to match,” said Vinicio Ingrao, AFS program manager for the HR Source contract. “Over the last five years, the FBI and Accenture have laid the foundation to achieve this through the implementation of HR Source. Now more than ever, the FBI has greater insight into its applicants and employee workforce. This award enables the FBI to continue to build upon these capabilities to serve changing mission, workforce and business needs in the years to come.”

During this fiscal year, AFS and FBI will upgrade the existing HR Source application, which is built using Oracle's PeopleSoft Human Capital Management system. In addition to providing continued operations and maintenance services, the team will work on decommissioning existing legacy systems, improving the FBI’s data analytic capabilities, and implementing an employee and supervisor web portal.
